A standard 10.5 kWh Reserva stack can typically run your fridge, LED lighting, Wi-Fi, and some power outlets for 12 to 18 hours. Because the Reserva features “Black Start” capability, if the sun comes out the next morning, your solar panels will kick back in to recharge the battery and power your home even if the grid is still down.
Can I install the Reserva if I already have a different brand of inverter?
The Fronius Reserva is a high-voltage DC-coupled battery specifically engineered to work with the Fronius GEN24 Plus inverter. If you have an older Fronius SnapINverter or a different brand entirely, you have two great options:
- The Upgrade: Replace your old inverter with a GEN24 Plus to unlock the full efficiency of the Reserva system.
- AC Coupling: We can install the Reserva alongside your existing system using a dedicated battery inverter, though this is slightly less efficient than a native DC setup.
Is the Reserva tough enough for the South West's coastal salt air?
Absolutely. Unlike some entry-level batteries that require indoor installation, the Fronius Reserva carries an IP65 protection rating. This means it is dust-tight and protected against water spray from any direction.
